Morning Programs - 3rd through 6th grade

Architecture & Design

July 9-13 : 8:30am-12:30pm : 3rd - 6th grade

In this hands-on class, students will receive instruction in computer-based laser software and laser cutting in order to customize and build their own wooden structures. Several basic structural designs and their blueprints will be provided to begin with, and students will be able to work with these to customize their own space, including furniture, decorations, paint, textures, and more.  

Weaving, Embroidery & Beading

July 16-20 : 8:30am-12:30pm : 3rd - 6th grade

Prepare to be enchanted by the intricate world of color, patterns, beads, and design. Through this hands on creative experience, students will be learning about the basics of weaving and embroidery, as well as computer-based laser software and laser cutting. They will apply this knowledge to a collection of unique projects, including customizing and laser cutting a wooden loom, creating a sample stitch embroidery hoop, beading animal keychains, and more. With exploration into practical artistic skills, as well as the integration of simple computer software and design, this class offers an exciting union of art and tech.

Elements of Art

July 23-27 : 8:30am-12:30pm : 3rd - 6th grade

This unique exploration of the basics is designed to integrate art and tech to show students how to view art through a new lens and show the expanse of what is truly possible.

Superheroes & Comic Books

Aug 6-10 : 8:30am-12:30pm : 3rd - 6th grade

Invent and realize your own superhero and/or super-villian! Develop your  superhero's unique persona using art and tech for costume design, comic-book techniques for story development, and design principles to create a unique symbol for your superhero. Finally, learn how to integrate a photograph of yourself, dressed as your superhero into a background of your choice using photo manipulation software.

Fun & Games

July 9-13 : 1-5pm : 6th grade and up

Do you love games? Imagine designing and building your own game or recreating a favorite with your unique design and style. All games are “on the table” for the making: strategy, puzzles, action, guessing games, and variations on chess, tic tac toe, checkers, and toppling towers, just to name a few all-time classics. This class will put into play drawing, digital design, laser-cutting, 3D printing, and CNC milling. We’ll add finishing touches and embellishments with glass, paint, beads, and many more artistic materials. And of course, there will be time for playing games too!

Dream House : Architecture & Design

July 16-20 : 1-5pm : 6th grade and up

If you could build the house of your dreams, whether it's a tiny house, a skyscraper, a tricked-out tree house or an English country estate, what would it be like? In this hands-on class, you get to create a structure from the ground up while learning principles of architectural design and construction as well as 3D modeling programs, laser cutting and 3D printing.  You will customize and build these structures along with mini furnishings, electrical wiring, and interior design elements.

Arts & tech Wall Deco

July 23-27 : 1-5pm : 6th grade and up

Need a room deco upgrade? Get your art-tech, DIY on, and make a really cool and original work of wall art. With fabric, leather, wood, embroidery, weaving, metal, lighting, 3D printing, laser cutting and more, you will​ 

mix it up and create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Mixed media is where it's at in this class rich in textures, styles, hand crafts, design and high tech machines.

Molding & Modeling 3D Designs

July 30-August 3 : 1-5pm : 6th grade and up

Model it, print it, carve it and mold it.  This class features Fusion 360 and other 3D modeling programs to help you model an item for 3D-printing or CNC Milling. You'll then learn the craft of mold-making using materials such as plaster and silicon as well as a vacuum former. Use these molds to make candles, sculptures or your very own, custom designed chocolate bar!

Fun & Games

August 6-10 : 1-5pm : 6th grade and up
