Eco-Transformations - Fashion Workshop

Saturday, April 11, 2020 : 10am-12:30pm : Participants under 15 must be accompanied by an adult

This class runs on most Saturdays : January 25 - April 25. Expect for March 28

You loved it enough to buy it – why wouldn’t you love it enough to re-create it and keep wearing it?

Bring in anything from your wardrobe that you would like to re-create or transform. If you are scissor shy – choose something from our own selection of high-quality donations. Leave the workshop with a completely transformed piece of clothing. Everything old is new again!

What we will do

  • Group evaluation of projects (learning opportunity for all)
  • Create a transformation plan for the first project for each participant
  • Get to work cutting, chopping and re-creating

Skills we will learn

  • Basic clothing and apparel design
  • Basic sewing

This class is taught by Bambi Layne Njamfa, author of the book Eco-Transformations. She will provide instruction on how to take lost and loved clothing from your wardrobe to create new apparel, handbags, and accessories.
