The Makery

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 4 weeks | 12 Sessions | April 13  - May 8 | 1pm-2:30pm

6th grade and up

Zoom link will be sent out to participants before class begins

IMPORTANT: Because of the local delivery requirement, we ask any students outside of Brookline to be within 3 miles of The Makery, located at 2 Sewall Avenue, Brookline, MA.

Get a group of friends together and get creative! Each 90-minute online session will have 30 mins of instruction in the areas of art, tech, and design followed by an open workshop where our expert Makery instructor will facilitate and help with personal projects. There will be a time each week that students can put in orders for their designs to be manufactured on-site at The Makery and delivered to their doorstep, ready to assemble and finish!

• Explore graphic design
• Learn basic 3D Modeling & Design
• Be inspired and encouraged by classmates and instructors
• Have fun & be challenged to try new things!

TOOLS & MACHINES WE WILL USE

• Inkscape design software
• Laser cutting*
• BlocksCAD 3D modeling software
• 3D printers*

* manufacturing will be done on-site at The Makery and delivered to students homes

Students are required to be able to run the latest version of Inkscape (free online design software) on a Windows or MacOS computer, as well as have access to a computer during class hours in order to meet virtually with their instructor and classmates over Zoom. Students will also have pieces that they design delivered to their house, so we ask that you review our health and wellness procedures before joining the class.
