Cut, Stitch, Sew! In this class you will be exploring a wide range of processes involved in the world of fiber arts. Examine  patterns and then learn how to sew by hand and with a machine. You will also have a chance to explore intricate and beautiful techniues in embroidery and weaving. 

SKILLS WE WILL LEARN

• Learn the basics of a sewing machine and hand sewing
• Explore the theory of pattern making 
• Practice the basics of embroidery and types of stitches
• Learn how to string a loom and use it to create beautiful weavings.

TOOLS & MACHINES WE WILL USE  

• Sewing machine  
• Embroidery needle and hoop  
• Hand sewing tools  
• Drafting and drawing implements  
• Block carving tools, blocks, and ink 

This class meets on Wednesdays for 10 weeks. Class runs from 1/15-3/25. No class on 2/19
