How large is your venue and what is your guest capacity?

  • 2,800 square feet 

  • Mingle (100 ppl) 

  • Seated Performance (55 ppl) 

  • Party with casual seating for food (40-50 ppl) 

  • Sit down dinner (30-40 ppl)

 

What is included in the event rental?

Usage of the space including furniture, tables, kitchen access, appliances, and audio visual systems.

 

How late can we stay?

No later than midnight - exceptions on request.

 

How much time should I allow for set-up and clean-up?

Generally, the reserved event time should include 1 hour to cover setup and breakdown - 30 mins setup & 30 mins clean-up included in the base price, if you need longer please inquire.

 

Who is responsible for set up & clean up?

Makery staff is available for the set up and clean up of making projects . If you need assistance with decor, food or any other kind of service, additional arrangements can be made at additional cost.

 

Are we responsible for our trash?

If it is a staffed event, The Makery team will take care of the trash. If not, we will show you where to dispose of trash.

 

Can I decorate the space?

Decorations that do not leave residue on the walls or floor are welcome.

 

Does the art stay up during the event or can I remove it?

Yes, art remains in place with exceptions approved in advance.

 

Can I hire a caterer for my event?

Yes.

 

When can I have my vendors drop off rentals etc...?

This will depend on previous arrangements made with The Makery staff. We allow access prior to your rental time as long as our schedule and storage space allows.

 

Is there a kitchen at The Makery? Can we cook on site?

No, you cannot cook, but you can prepare and reheat food in our kitchen area. We have a small kitchen set up with sink, microwave, toaster oven & refrigerator. 

 

Can I have alcohol at my event?

Yes, you can bring your own alcohol.

 

Can I hire additional staff?

Yes, you can provide any of your own staffing. Also additional Makery staff is available $30/hr.

 

Is your building wheelchair accessible?

No, there is one short set of stairs to walk down.

Who can I talk to for venue needs on the day of event?

There will be a team member during your function that can help you with all your needs.

 

Can I meet The Makery Staff to discuss my event?

Yes, we are more than happy to schedule an initial consultation meeting to discuss event services that we can provide.

 

Do you have a projector/TV for slide shows or presentations?

Yes we have a projector that is compatible with MAC & Windows operating systems. In addition we have speakers & laptops for general use.

 

Can we have a live band?

Yes, music must be approved beforehand due to space and noise constraints.

 

Can we bring in outside furniture?

Our space is well furnished. If you want to provide additional furniture, arrangements will need to be made

for drop-off and pickup.

 

Do you allow candles?

No, we do not allow candles or open flames in our space.

 

Do you allow smoking?

No.

 

Do you allow animals?

No.

 

Do we need event insurance/security deposit?

Most events do not require event insurance. Please inquire.

 

Is there Wi-Fi provided on-site?

Yes.

 

Is their any cancellation fee?

We require a non-refundable deposit of 25% to reserve the space.

 

Are making projects included with base rental fee?

No.
